Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS) DD Haulage recognise the importance of RAMS documentation to create awareness and identify potential hazards or risks when undertaking complex or involved machine moving tasks. All our lorry cranes are routinely tested by a registered third party to fully comply with LOLER (The Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations). Testing and certification of all lorry cranes operating in a commercial environment is a legal requirement in the UK. Copies of test certificates available on request.
Our drivers undertake regular ALLMI accredited training approved by the HSE, on the application and operation of lorry loading cranes. DD Haulage – Your machinery is in safe hands.
Safe and successful lifting depends in large on the safety, quality and integrity of the lifting equipment and specialist accessories we utilise on a daily basis. Our slings and chains are routinely visually checked and inspected by our operatives before every use. In addition they are thoroughly examined by a competent third party within the required legal time frame.
Our operatives are issued with all appropriate PPE for use during their daily duties on site including; High Viz Vests, Helmets, Gloves, Eye protection and safety footwear. Our Scania Plant body is fitted with a detachable post and side rail fall protection to comply with site specific requirements.
DD Haulage & machine Movers hold a Waste Carriers Licence issued by the Environment Agency. This licence means we can legally transport waste and scrap machinery from your site. If you require a copy of our Waste Carriers Licence, please ask a member of our team.
You shouldn’t underestimate the importance of insurance when employing the services of a machine moving company, it is one area where others have been known to cut corners. At DD Haulage we hold Goods in Transit cover, so in the unfortunate event of serious damage or loss your machinery is fully covered.
